Best deer rifle cartridges if you had to pick just one.

I really like heavy for caliber Accubonds in the caliber of your choice with a MV of 2800-2950.

A .270 Winchester with the 140s for instance was my choice for years & piled them up immediately if I did my part.

The .260 & 7mm-08 are going to get their opportunity hopefully next week.

The ones I kill are because we are going to eat them. We use deer in place of ground beef mostly.
I do kill one deer a year for someone. Its a friend who is a widow and she depends on that deer.
Good for you. I eat what I kill. I also have a friend with lots of allergies. Venison is one thing he can eat
 
These days it's what ever you have ammo for. Also want to throw out an oldie but awesome whitetail cartridge the .257 Roberts

around 1965 the Georgia Game Regulation Book list the .257 Roberts as not a legal round to use on Deer, there were several others also
one of the other rounds I remember on the list was the .30 Carbine; I remember Dad saying that was a piss poor round, said in the Korean winter the enemy was was bundled up so thick the round didn't do much good
