Beans in your chili? Yay or nay?

I vac sealed a couple pounds of Hatch chilis from the August harvest. They only come around once a year and these will be grilled up and put in the first pot of chili this year.

No beans in my bowl of red. And if you saw it nobody could call those chunks of beef or venison "sauce". I love sowbelly and beans. I will eat other people's chili if they put beans in it. If I make chili for other people who want them I'll put beans in them. I just don't put beans in mine. Daddy would spin like a top in his grave. But as for that Cincinnati "chili" if they give it out in parts somebody else can have my part.

And while we are semi-venting, what the heck it vegetarian chili? Saw that advertised the other day. Figured it to be spicy vegetable soup.

I’ve eaten Chili all over Texas, and it always had beans. Same as everywhere else, for that matter.
I’ve had beanless, but it wasn’t aiming the main items served.
