Had an account with bank of america once, rolled up all my loose change to get it converted to bills. A**holes told me that they would not
acccept it, US currency. Closed my account on the spot. I know it did not hurt them, but it sure did make me feel better!!

I dumped them a decade ago, when I found out they were fingerprinting people cashing BofA checks. That they know are good, and can contact the writer...

The disease is spreading though. BB&T charges $8 to cash their own checks, too. What bull.

But yeah, banks are not doing their jobs any more.

I tell people who use them how rude and controlling they are .

I do work for an old couple . Man is a WW2 Vet . Lady is a retired teacher . Nicest folks you'll ever meet . Boa has jerked them around . Closed there local branch where they have to drive a good ways to the next one . Then they closed it too . @$$wipes !!!

My advice is credit union !

I still have one credit card with them. I do not use it, just make them send paper statements every month, that costs them extra money. Have not used it in a long time.

I'm not confident that there are any good banks left. I'm a member of a local credit union and while they are super nice to deal with and are never overly crowded, they are extremely slow with deposits and transfers. I shouldn't have to wait 5-7 business days to have access to my money.
