buttplate did you check out the threaded Savage?

I did. It is nice. I am hearing good things about them. I already have a Ruger 10/22 take down with threads but was not sure I wanted an auto. I may put the $$$ towards getting my 22 can on the way and make the decision on host down the road. The take down is cool with the case and all but I want to be sure I have as quiet as I can get.

I am still leaning towards the AAC Element 2 but have not made up my mind.

I agree probably not a real one, and I wouldn't fire it. I picked up a few similar at the bazaars in Kabul. Most likely a copy made for the tourists. Nice wall-hangers, though.
