Anybody else built a greenhouse using old wooden window sashes?

Curiosity: How are you going to frame to hold them windows in a good position? How about air flow into the plants or ventilation? Proly will need some big fan in one end...

I’ll work on the fly like I usually do and just make it work. I’ve located a solar powered exhaust fan because I don’t want to run power to it from the house as it’s not feasible

I built one a few yrs ago,used eggrock for the floor to trap heat and release over night. Went with a clear poly type roof ,sink,2 small exhaust fans. I will post some pics

I had several sizes to work with so i framed walls to fit the window size and then raised them ,added front and roof.

You can use a barrel of water too,sun heats it up and it releases the heat overnight.

You can use whatever rock you want ,the larger stuff is great for walking on while soaking wet after watering.

i bought a used greenhouse from a commercial grower and just put up 32 feet of it instead of 50. (32x20) What you are doing will work On a home scale. If it were me I would put a small wood heater in it since you aren’t going to have electricity. It will get cold, given that most glass windows have only single panes. the rock floor and some black 55 gallon drums filled with water will help keep the temperature somewhat stable. Also be careful mowing around it.
