Any downside to a trade for this G43?

The more I researched G43s it would have meant buying a "Shooter kit" to replace the original fragile gas system and a spring set. Those things seem very fragile. Powerful milsurp ammo slam the bolt back and can crack the receiver.

Methinks that a shooter kit is a waste of $$ unless you plan on shooting a lot of hot ammo! I never heard of a shooters kit till about 15+ yrs ago.
I've been shooting G u. K 43s since I got my first one in about 1955 or 56. I've hunted with nothing else since then. I shoot military ammo of several varieties, but use hand loads for hunting.

I see no downside.

Like any presumed collectable, there is a downside: When one becomes a "don't-wanter" and there is no "greater fool" out there that wants what you have and is willing to pay enough that you have a profit or break even, one will learn all about the downside. This is especially true in a collapsing economy.
