if you dont study economics much or are not current with what the cool kids in academia are up to, then i wouldnt be surprised if you have never heard of the name Thomas Piketty before

but this is a name every America loving capitalist should know. he (and others like him) are probably some of the most dangerous people the united states is currently facing.

why? his economic views are dangerous. its no surprise that a large number of Americans are idiots and that many of them dont understand the negative impact certain economic policies would have, and quite frankly they probably wouldnt care

im talking of course about those who promote a more egalitarian society and are concerned with the wealth gap.

Mr. Piketty is so concerned with it, that he wrote a book in which his solution would be to impose a 25 to 30% one time tax on all wealth/capital.................that is incredibly scary

for a while Mr. Piketty was content with merely being a universal advocate for "wealth equality" and to end poverty. as im sure many of you are aware this is all nonsense speak for pushing a collectivist agenda. but recently he decided to take a jab at the American political arena by lambasting the republican party (pretty much saying they hate poor people).

normally i wouldnt concern myself with the opinion of a socialist foreigner, but certain media factions (msnbc and huffingtonpost) are trying make him out to be some sort of economic guru (even though his theories have never been proven and the math in his published novel "capital in the 21st century" is pretty ****ed).

i have a feeling this next presidential round is going to be about wealth equality and all that garbage. people being concerned with what the top 1% may or may not earn is going to be an issue (i find it funny, as if there is a limited number of monies to go around even though money is a relative measure of purchasing power or rather now merely the promise to repay a debt in fiat terms)

why would i bring this cheese eating surrender monkey to light if he is so wrong? simple, know thy enemy.

NGOs, the UN, the world bank & IMF, and the domestic political allies of these foreign entities are bad for americans and bad for you.

just a public service announcement. i implore you all to look into this

I'm not much into reading French economists, but the wealth gap in this country is becoming a problem IMO. The phrase "Job Creator" is a myth. The only way to create jobs is through demand. More demand, more jobs. NGOs, the UN, the world bank & IMF are all bad for Americans. What is worse? The federal reserve and crony capitalism. The more the money moves upward, the more we see crony capitalism destroy this country. I don't have a problem with wealthy people, but the accumulation of that wealth into such a small group of people is not good. P.S. It's early so please take it easy on me.

I see where you're coming from, but what is your solution? The only solution I can see would be redistribution, which would collapse the system.

My solution would be to audit and destroy the Fed over time, and put certain constraints on capitalism and political spending. I also think tariffs on foreign goods and getting rid of free trade agreements are a good thing. The tax on wages needs to be abolished also. It goes against everything that is/was America.
