NO my wife didn't wise up and dump me:) I lost my wedding band Monday morning.:(
I am not going to lie, I'm pretty sick about it... Am I divorced now?
Getting old stinks, didn't notice it gone (at work) until 9:30 and looked (150,000 sq. ft. & 4 parking lots) for it for about 1.5 hours...
It was the original band I got when I was 19, and when we saved up $tree-fiddy (after about 25 years) we added a two tone band with diamonds on top of the original band, so I have always been wearing the original one, but with a little added bling.
After looking through thousands of pictures I have very few pics of my hand... FYI lots of Richard pics... (j/k)

Should I replace it?
Go Silicone?
Flat Washer?
I do wear a watch, but my wedding band was the only jewelry I wore (excluding piercings, of course :))
Quit wearing it when my finger nearly got tossed in the dumpster with a piece of expanded metal years ago.

I am in the same boat as you. Married 42 years, the only time that ring was off was when I was having surgery. We went to Denver in mid October. When we flew back into Atlanta, and go to our car, I started home. Just about where 85/75 split, I was twiddling around with my finger and noticed my ring was gone.

I have no idea where it went. It had gotten loose lately because I have lost over 20 lbs, but I didn't think it would come off so easily that I wouldn't notice it.

My original band last about 20 yrs before I got too fat or my ring shrank……. It’s put in wife’s jewelry box. I have the ring tattoo (which doesn’t last long w/out constant touch up…… I wear silicone band for work and just habit of having a ring on………
Hope an honest person finds your and returns it for sentimental value!!

I stopped wearing mine after I almost lost my finger . Twice , in two different incidents where my metal ring got snagged on something.

Finally found some silicone ones I like.
Found some that actually look like metal
Gold rings .

the selection changes all the time on Amazon
But the one in the Picture is available on gold and silver , and it actually looks like metal instead of plastic.

they are cheap enough that I just ordered several different sizes , because the sizes seem to vary a little from one company to the next . And the silicone sizes are a little different than the metal sizes it seems like .

I ordered several that came with 6 or 8 rings and there would be one color that I liked , and I just tossed the rest , the flashy colors just wasn’t for me .

I went with a silicone band today. Due to arthritis, my knuckles are a larger than they were years ago when I got married. The only way to get my original wedding band off was using dish washing soap so it mostly sat on top of my dresser. Over the years my wife has made little comments(without being a Karen about it) to look for a replacement that was comfortable. This afternoon while running errands, I stopped by a local sporting goods store and finally bought a silicone band. I have to admit that I’m happy to be wearing a wedding band again and it's way more comfortable than metal. ClassicBlue is a happy camper....and Mrs. Classic is to.

I tried for a few months when first married. I hated it , I still hate the thought it’s not because I try to look single, jewelry bothers me to wear. Physically bothers me.

funny story , my buddy in Canada lost his ring his wife was not amused but he delayed in replacing it. She’s a good looking woman whose sales job requires that she work around men.
one Monday am she was leaving for work and had on no wedding ring, he said hey where’s your ring?
she said oh I though that we weren’t wearing wedding rings any longer…

he bought one that day LOL
