I had old Timers growing up which that one sort of reminds me of but is nicer for sure.

I still field dress deer with an old timer that my dad used as a kid!!! Love that thing.

I've been carrying a Boker Kalashnikov for a few months now....it's been a great EDC knife. Hard to beat it for under $50.

i surf bladeforums looking for zt and kershaws,t350 in the 80-100 range and i just picked up a blackish 1776 and a 1760 for 60 shipped.
look for an adamas as well,big knife but worth the money.

I say a middle sized Jack
40's-70's US made with a Good sized Clip blade and a small pen blade
Will save your ass in all but a batoning environment provided you carry a fire starter of some sort. Sharp Carbon steel you can operate with and make a spark with.
