85 D100 custom bogging down and dieing in gear.

What would or could cause the fuel to get too hot?

Yeah thats what i was just saying to myself, no emissions so no catalytic converter. Shouldent be too hard to cut off and weld in a piece of pipe.

Look at the gas line coming up to your carb.Depending on where its laying could be near motor or intake causing vapor lock.Test the fuel pump for pressure?would be leaning towrds fuel pump.
 
Final update, ive been busy and forgot to post friday.
Intake gaskets fixed the problem! Runs like a dream now. And much more power and milage now that ive eliminated all the emission control crap as well as the A/C compressor.
