8 year olds review of Federal Auto Match 40 gr 22lr

I'm hoping she stays in her "cheap and rugged" phase a little longer.

I'm sure you're teaching her to budget money as well. You can hope. Mine found her first must have pistol, a Sig 238 with Ti rainbow finish..... Mine turned 13 this summer...

That shot of her install/removing the operating piston on an AK style rifle is awesome. I consider these basic skills-field stripping and cleaning a battle rifle critical skills that I sincerely hope they never have to "rely" on except for basic home defense, but you know how I mean rely on.

Educating our children to potential threats and managing that situation is inherent to being a good father. My father educated me, as you educate your daughter on skills that won't ever be taught in public schools as it is a risk too great, And when one scrutinizes the issue carefully, they would be correct.

Thank you for teaching Emi Jane skills that are invaluable if ever required.

And good report on the ammo, I'll feel confident if grabbing some when it finally becomes available. But that's another discussion.
