Catalytic converter efficiency
I’d reset and let it ride, if it persists the change the upstream O2 sensor. If it persists check to see if it’s actually running right (injectors, plugs, valves etc) Then if it still persists and the car is running efficiently you probably need a Catalytic converter. Although they should not fail unless real high mileage or something is not burning as it should.
Any additional insight on that? I’m at 94k miles, hoping I’m not looking at a new cat
At 94k miles right now, but car is acting normally and driving just fine. Appreciate the input.
We, an independent Subaru shop, see a lot of P0420 and P0300 codes. Frequently, the owners are buying “Supermarket” gas. 90% of the time, they are.
You can try running better fuel line BP, Chevron , but most likely your looking at a cat
Yeah, that’s a strong option right now. Lots of crap in the fuel, trying to stretch the sales.
That’s something. 99% of the time I go to Murphys.
