could some one tell me how much an original 1911 A1 (us army) govt issue- hasnt been firedin over 60 years-in original holster-with plastic cover-45 cal. is worth? maybe wanting to trade for something

Honestly value can change with inspector marks, yr gun was made, history of the gun etc etc.... Best bet is to either walk around a gun show and get info and offers to get some idea of value and knowledge of the gun. You could also post pictures here and we good ppl at ODT may be of some help....

or pay an appriasl company that does WW2 era firearms......
