Shot two more doe this evening. Down to 1 buck and 1 doe tag remaining. We have been thinning the does in the herd this season. The total deer population in the immediate area was wreaking havoc on peas and other crops this summer, literally decimating acres upon acres.
I've personally never tagged out in one season but I think I will try this year. We've been donating to food banks and Hunters for the Homeless so it all goes to the freezer or to a good cause. Feels pretty good...

Saw 4 does and a 3 yr old 8 point. 5 or 6 fox squirrels that looked as big as spider monkeys. Took my old college roommate to my property but I didn't even chamber a round as I bucked out last week and will probably take a doe after rut is over maybe December. Was hoping to see a song dog but a beautiful day in the north GA. Mountains.

Didnt see a single deer all afternoon until after it was too dark to shoot. Seems I picked the wrong stand to sit in. Had 12 out around my other stand as I was leaving.
