10mm competition load

I’m very happy with my 165gr 10mm over 6.7gr of W231 load. After adjusting the zero on my dot a little they were soft, smooth, and accurate. I don’t have a shot timer, but at a low ready I told my watch set a 20 second timer and fired 10 rounds at 15 yards. I still had a few seconds left after firing. The target is smaller than the A zone of a GSSF target.

I didn’t knock it out of the ballpark, but didn’t do horrible either. This morning gave me a solid baseline to work on. I do need to slow down a little, especially on the 25yd shots. I had time left after each string of 10.

I was using my G40 MOS. I was running it with a Swampfox Justice green dot, and running 165gr Berry’s plated flat nose over 6.7gr of W231.

I scored a 445 out of 500

The course of fire was:

15 feet - 10 shots in 15 seconds
25 feet - 10 shots in 15 seconds

Change target

25 feet - 10 shots in 15 seconds
50 feet - 10 shots in 15 seconds
75 feet - 10 shots in 15 seconds
