10mm competition load

Does anyone load 10mm for competition?

I’m going to start using my Glock 40 MOS 10mm to shoot some GSSF matches. They don’t require a power factor, so I’m thinking of reducing recoil for faster follow up shots.

My thought is load a 155gr or 165gr plated bullet at around 1050 -1150 fps

Does anyone here load a similar round?

Reduced power 10mm is called 40 S&W.

So I’d probably be looking at 165gr 40 loads as a starting point.

Was about to say you are strongly in 40 sw territory. Just pick a bulky powder so you don't run into detonation issues with the larger case

Suggestion: Start with 6 grains of Unique or Universal Clays and a 200 grain bullet, reduce as appropriate for function. I use this load in my 10mm-1911.

Unless you are doing this just for the fun of it, shooting a 10mm with any load in the MOS or/and the Unlimited division will only get you a chance at a random drawing, lol.

I traded for it just because I thought it would be fun to shoot, and it is. Playing in GSSF will just be to have fun and as a challenge.

I’m going to load some 165gr Xtreme flat points over 6.5gr of W231. It should give a soft recoil and about 1100fps.
