Colt AR15 A4. I would of course carry a Ciener kit in the buttstock, as that is where it always is anyway.

If I can't do it with 5.56 or 22lr, I probably shouldn't be doing it.

I'd go with an AR too. Good from CQB out to medium engagements. Ammo is small and light.

I was wondering how you got a Ciener kit to fit in the buttstock also. Its been 5-6 years since I looked in the back of an A2 stock but I wouldnt think it would be wide enough to fit. Are you taking out the plastic cleaning kit insert?

Seems like an unrealistic hypothesis. Who would leave home with one gun in normal times, let alone in a SHTF situation.
