I have had the 40v Ryobi chainsaw for 3 years now. Perfect for small jobs but mine is for travel. I do a lot of overlanding/camping in an old Land Rover. No gas smell in the vehicle, handles the trail jobs with ease. Carry two batts, one in the saw, other charging.

I am no pro, but have done many birch stocks (10/22's) with Linseed oil, then rub in some Chestnut Ridge stain to give it that red hue. Think pre 64 Winchesters or a kissing cousin to the M1 Garand look.
Try not to raise the grain on the wood when you strip it.

Most likely, they ran out of money and had to stop the reno. Got about 60% done and busted. We got a deal on the house because of that, but had a lot of issues to work through.
Master bath flooring was layered over house siding as the base material, main drain lines were full of latex paint...
Current house basement was fubared when we moved in. Previous wannabe "flippers" wired the basement with all low voltage wiring for the outlets, all were scorched and blackened. Had to re pull all that as well as ground the panel in the basement.
