Very nice Colt, However, Im pretty sure Colt started producing Stainless 1911s in 1985. Anything prior to that would be nickel plated carbon. I could be wrong of course, I just see a lot of confusion with these older Colts. Either way, Good luck. -

Nice gun, quick google search puts the SN right in the middle of production during 1918. Close to 350,000 pistols were built that year to support the war effort. Condition looks pretty original, not sure about that mag though, doesn't look correct, but might be. Given the corrosion on the slide... -
