All jokes aside, for all practical purposes he's a kids that's into prepping. Damned if he's not worried about Zombies.
If I can find it the story I'll post it, the CDC identified a new strain of RABIES that right now is the closest thing to any REAL zombie disease.

He's English. They aren't allowed to keep any guns except shotguns. Not that his "blend in bag" inventory makes any more sense for that.
