Any of our resident gun smith's tell me what I can use in the ultrasonic cleaner to clean a whole assembled gun? The owner left it in the door pocket that also held a large coffee. The coffee had been there a few days and leaked about an inch and half which soaked into the gun seizing the slide closed.
Looking for simple but realistic ideas.

Coffee is water soluble, so why not soak it in water for a short time and see if it unlocks. If you get it open, plan on doing a very detailed strip and clean.

I've never in my over 50 years seen a slide lock down like this.
Fortunately the owner did not have one in the chamber.

Spray it down with this before the ultra sonic bath. Hornady One Shot was the cleaner I used in the past and was always happy with the results.

I have used both Shooter’s Choice Ultra Sonic cleaner, and Simple Green Extreme. At TruPrep, we currently use Simple Green Extreme for all our ultrasonic cleaning needs.

Make sure it’s Simple Green Extreme, and not regular Simple Green, which has a tendency to corrode aluminum.
