Augusta went through a whole ordeal figuring out a replacement for the James Brown Arena. Somehow the final potential locations came to either the current location downtown or the abandoned mall in a light industrial area that looks like a post-apocalyptic science fiction movie. Eventually, they decided to demo and rebuild at the current location. Something about corrupt flailing cities and their arenas I just don't exactly understand. Here's the alternate location they were considering:
