Holly said your welcome!Enjoyed spending the morning with you ladies and gents!! I continue to learn, I already have more take-aways:
- Being more mindful of holding slightly for wind when it's windy. Question to the group: Do you dial for windage or do you always just hold over?
- I need some more YouTube tutorials to make sure I am using my Kestrel to the best of it's abilities. Question to the group: If using a Kestrel, shooting with walls on either side of us, is the windage accurate from the shooting position?
- I enjoyed the sandwiches...THANK YOU!!
I always do a hold over for wind and never dialed it. I think key at that range is reading grass lean it helps since some targets are 50+/- or 100+/- or 200+/- the grass leans different at each level. We are racing time and making an accurate shot but training the eye to look for the little things will help us. Trial and error but we will get there. You could see the rain at 100 LT to RT but at 200 it was RT to LT. I also didn’t get a read on wind under cover using kestrel. It was sporadic early on then got heavier. I’d do a few reads if it changes much as you go through the stages. Im still learning at each outing it seems that’s progress.Enjoyed spending the morning with you ladies and gents!!
