10 lb box of bacon pieces ground and mix 3 to 1 with ground deer

Applewood bacon mixed in with the ground.
I add a couple tablespoons of Dales seasoning and half of a pack pack of onion soup mix prior to cooking.

Biker is on the money, I like a 25% fat to 75% meat ratio in deer burgers. The Lee bacon ends at the local piggly wiggly work wonders. Here's a tip too, if you dont have a meat grinder, take the bacon ends and put them out on a pan and stick it in the freezer. Let them freeze good, and then throw them in the food processor or blender and mix with the deer meat.

Yep!Bacon is great! But egg is the secret if you don't want to change the flavor.

I intentionally get my ground venison with NO fat, I'm not about to add fat to it.
Low heat and they hold together fine. Never been dry. Use an egg if you must.
