I can get wholesale pricing at ford if you want an OEM crate engine. Probably 6k or more though.
Are these the engines with the plastic intake issues ?? Hydro-locked ??

Better yet, see if you can rock it backwards a hair and forwards to a hard lock (rod or whatever).
I have it at Coweta Car Care , they seem like good people. I went over and ask him to take of the belt and try so he did ,
nothing. I was watching the crank when he hit the key and there is no movement what so ever.
They are going to work up some options for me , they suggest a remanufactured engine that will have a 3 year warranty
( if ones available) .

I would get a several quotes. The price of the engine is only one part of the equation. There is also additional parts and the labor may be more than the price of engine itself.
I'm feeling like I'm getting burned on this no matter what. What's a few more thousand. Remember, I'm the guy that paid $200 to get my cat out of a tree. But, this old guy that sold it to me came out with a neck brace on. Now I'm wondering if that was just a prop too.
