Turning a url link into a word link.

I don't really know how to explain it but sometimes I'll see where people have a certain word in blue that is actually the link to a url vs. having the actual url written out in blue. How do you go about changing the direct link to a specific word and still have it be directly linked to the url. Like instead of it being like this:
http://www.google.com/
it will be like this:
Google but it will be clickable and take you to the Google website.

Hope this makes sense to someone.
 
Well sir, if you wanted to link to the home page of the ODT you would do the following:

Type the word you wanted to use: ODT

Next, highlight that word then hit the picture of the globe with a chainlink above and paste the URL you want to go to in the space provided.

When finished, it should look like this and work correctly -------> ODT
