Tell me about this tool...

It's one of those old tools that has a lot of technology build in to it.

The long blade has a purpose, It is intended to cut high grass for hay or grain, and lay it in a windrow, That's why the handle is crooked, so that the user can give a slight twist and drop the cut grass on the follow through., and pull out a clean blade for the next stroke. The cutting stroke is parallel to the ground, then the cutter swings through and raises the heel of the blade and drop the grass in a row, Also why the blade is curved, so it will carry the cut grass.

When the user completes a field, it will have a series of windrows that look like they have been laid out by machine.
