Tannerite, any way to set it off besides shooting it?

Agreed. Also a shotgun primer won’t either.

They do not. I've tried.

A .50 BMG does the trick though when you want to dispose of an old safe.

My son managed to set off a small can of Tannerite with a BB gun - but to be fair, when you figure out the kinetic energy, it was about the same as a 22LR round, so it's not really surprising.
