Taking on group members.

Zombpocolypse or total collapse of modern society is the context.

The world is in Chaos, person X shows up at your front, gate in a vehicle, alone. You know person X fairly well, and hung out a few times. You know they are competent with a gun and for the most part trustworthy. what qualifications would a person require for you to accept them to your team? (If you already have a team, why did you choose the members).

On the Flip side of this, why would you turn person X away?

i would let them in with a gun ready to shoot and then lock them in my basement in a locked room(with water and crackers)for about 20 minutes until i see if they have any good stuff that would be useful. if they do then i will gauge their demeanor. if i find them to be cooperative i will let them out and join the group, if i find that they might be trouble i'd put their stuff back in their car and tell them to get out when i feel its safe to go back out.

i value my life and would be wary of taking on a someone who might be risk but i might give them a try

they would have to be decent with a firearm(with the exception of females between 5-12 as they may still be trained to survive in the situation).

i would be wary of the "hot" women in shtf, they would make the best spies to scope out your stash of supplies and let others in when your too busy sleeping

They would never even make it to the gate. I'd put a 7.62x54 right into their face before they had a chance to make it that far. Everybody dies. Period. Hot chicks are a liability. If you don't already have a woman then your picking a really stupid time to date. Loot a porno store and call it a day.
