Stop "Banter" in for sale ads

It is commen pratice on a number of sites offering free
for sale threads not to allow useless comments. "Wow if
I only had the money" "Your price is to high/low" "What,no pics"
All this does is waste the sellers time,not to mention wasting space
on the thread. Comments in for sale ads are useless. If somebody wants
to discuss your item,or buy it, all they have to do is pm you.

The thing is I only like rules that I can have enforced automatically by the system. So the options are allow all replies or allow no replies, which is how GON did it back in the day.

That is also why I keep all the threads in the trading post in chronological order regardless of responses.

The more policing the mods have to do, the more people start to hate the mods, slippery slope, etc.

If you dont want comments in your ad, you can actually list an item, instruct people to PM you and then close it so no responses are posted.
