Just make sure the pressure treated lumber is dried out good before you apply the stain or it will not penetrate well.

Pressure treated wood - solid deck stain.

Bare untreated pine - primer and paint.

Have to agree here.

it will be next spring when i do the biggest part of the porch however i have to go ahead and stain the part thats gonna be screened in next week
but its already pretty dry at the moment so i should be safe

I've had to best luck with Sherwin Williams Deckscapes.

I would recommend pressure washing the deck and allowing it to dry thoroughly before applying the stain.

just curious but why is this?
im assuming you can get a semi transparent with any color you want?

Most solid stains are thinned paints whereas, semi transparent stains are designed to penetrate more. Pressure treated wood has a lot of pitch and the solid stain will typically peel off in these areas.
