Have to agree here.Pressure treated wood - solid deck stain.
Bare untreated pine - primer and paint.
it will be next spring when i do the biggest part of the porch however i have to go ahead and stain the part thats gonna be screened in next weekJust make sure the pressure treated lumber is dried out good before you apply the stain or it will not penetrate well.

I would recommend pressure washing the deck and allowing it to dry thoroughly before applying the stain.
Most solid stains are thinned paints whereas, semi transparent stains are designed to penetrate more. Pressure treated wood has a lot of pitch and the solid stain will typically peel off in these areas.just curious but why is this?
im assuming you can get a semi transparent with any color you want?
