Spark plugs

I'm getting ready to change the spark plugs in my Ford 4.6 liter (2008 Crown Victoria). I've heard that these engines are picky about plugs. I was planning to install Motorcraft but I wanted to find out if anyone else has a recommendation.

That's three votes for Motorcraft. I'd call that fairly decisive.

Motocraft only and use their Boot kits for the coil packs, it May save the coils

True. You definitely need to use anti seize stuff on the threads and only torque the new plugs down to around 13 ft pounds.

Go ahead and buy the tool to remove the ones that will break off in the engine

The 5.4 3 valve are the ones that break plugs . make sure there is no coolant in the last plug hole on the passenger side or first one on the driver side. if so the plastic manifold has cracked, very common problem no big deal...

Thanks for the input guys. Luckily the last set of plugs was torqued properly so they came out with no issues. The intake manifold was replaced two years ago, so no issue there.
