I just received a can of South Korean M2 ball ammo that I ordered last week. It was supposed to be loose ammo but it's all on stripper clips.....which is no big deal, I was planning on using it for my bolt rifles knowing it was corrosive before I ordered it.

It's all either KA 72 or 73 headstamped and there is a small K on the stripper clip. My question is in that time period what would they have needed it on chargers for?

Up until more recently, believe it or not, the hard as nails ROKs loved them some M1s and M14s.

Who can blame them!!!

That's o e of my favorite smells when it comes to my gun room. I wish fabreez would bottle it. The could call it "Comie-solean"

Mine too, buddy! Every time I open my gun room my wife complains.....I smile. It's a win-win

Don't know how they were advertised, but some of the Korean ammo is corrosive. There's a thread out there on which headstamps are and aren't.

I ran into this after buying two cans of it. Not a problem in a bolt gun, but a pain in the Garand.
