I shot this buck last night at 5:50 PM after being the stand for only 20 minutes. This is the nicest buck I have ever killed with a muzzle loader. Live weight was 181.5 pounds. I hunted the star I shot him from on a last minute decision.

That's a beauty Bro!

I had one very similar sneak up the hillside just out of my view of my shooting lane that curved out of sight.
He was 75 yards away and showed up minutes after I let out a couple doe bleats.
He turned down the hill and started walking my way.... The wind was in my face and I thought for sure I was gonna get the job done.
I moved my foot literally 1" to pivot into a better position as he was walking with his head down bit he must have seen the movement and bolted like mad up the hill into the pines..... Dangit!
I'm gonna try to ambush him tonight from another spot.
