Ok guys the guy I got this from asked before but maybe my question is different. So I have a smith and wesson 586-. Heres the questions its stamped 586- that's it's no number after the dash and the gun doesn't seem to ever been refinished but it's not blued. Could the gun be miss stamped and should be a 686? Any thoughts? I dont have the factory box I wish I did

Hard to tell from pics on my device, but it could be a hard chrome finish, whether original or aftermarket. The finish doesn’t look as shiny as I’m used to seeing on S&W revolvers from that era, so I’m leaning towards a satin hard chrome finish.

S&W can tell you how it left the factory.
