Small arms treaty with U.N. on again.

This quote troubles me:
"In Syria, we have seen the death toll rise well over 30,000, with weapons and ammunition pouring in the country for months now," he said. "We need a treaty that will set tough rules to control the arms trade, that will save lives and truly make the world a better place."

Russia is dumping a lot of weapons into Syria and the government is using them to kill civilians. That's bad.

On the other hand, a lot of weapons are coming in from Turkey to the rebels. That's good. In fact, from what little I know, the rebels need more weapons than the government so it should be easier to move weapons.

"We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms," he said(some un-named US offical).
As long as they don't tamper with the Costitution there will always be hope.
