I'm gonna try and keep this as short as possible so I can hold yalls interest for a few minutes 
My wife is a high school Volleyball coach at Southeast Whitfield High and a club director for Set For Life Volleyball Club. One of her players Rana Mashburn, 17 years old, was diagnosed with a rare immune disease called HLH in July. It has progressed very very rapidly and she's a very sick young girl. I had the privilege of spending some time with her last fall during club volleyball season and she's just a carefree teenage girl who is now fighting for her life.
Her father passed away when she was a young girl so it's just her mother leading this fight for her daughter. It's heart breaking to see such a beautiful carefree teenage girl one day and then a very very sick teenage girl fighting for her life the next.
Rana is with her mother in Cincinnati and has been for the past few months where specialists are trying to figure out how to attack this disease and get her better.
