"Selected" option in messages tab

Whats it for?...mine shows a check mark but nothing selected...when i check the box for the individual message itself, it shows how many i have selected but then nothing...no pop-up, no next screen, no option menu......did i miss something?...id like to be able to do a mass delete for most of them since i have 52 PAGES of pm's...

Once you select the selected button there should have been a notice at the bottom of the page that allows you to “select all” then delete
