I have good experiences with some scopes such as redfield wide angle, Leupold vxiii was a solid scope, I like the glass in the vxr series. An old Bausch & lomb pistol scope Was reliable with nice Glass. Sightron was a scope with nice glass , and IOR have good quality glass too. On my wishlist are scopes like Swarovski, Leica, zeiss that i may never own. But it doesn’t cost much to dream about.

Meopta has some great offerings for sure. Supposedly they OEM parts for a lot of the bigger European brand names

Make stuff for American companies too. Nightforce spotters are made by Meopta

I don't hunt or operate. I have Primary Arms SLx 1-8x24 FFP with ACSS Raptor reticle on a 5.56 Carbine. I like it so much, I just ordered another. However this is a 1-8x24 FFP with ACSS Griffin X MIL reticle. Gonna put that on a .308.

PA is having a 12% of sale that ends today (SAVE12). Brought the price down to $380 plus shipping and tax.

If optical clarity and ruggedness is important, IOR Valdada Scopes are (were?) made with Schott glass Just as the high end glass such as Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica, etc......for half the price.
