I have the Ver1 of both 9mm and 45ACP - I carry the 45ACP 6+1 or 7+1 my shot placement is much better with the 230gr HP than the 9mm 124gn HP. S&W did something absolutely amazing with the 45ACP version of this pistol, for the size I know of nothing that shoots more consistently accurate even at much higher price points. When I roll my own 45s the results are even better. I'm a 9mm fan with a couple G19s and Browning Hi Powers but I'm most comfortable with carrying the 45ACP Shield. Waiting to see if the do a double stack 45ACP before I jump on this one.

I really don't quite grasp the idea behind this one. I though the shield came out as a single stack answer to the M&P line. What is any major difference between the M&P9C and the Shield Plus?
