Ruger sickness

Mines more of an allergy, comes n goes LOL
Sold my '70 Fingergroove 10/22 at a show.
Bought a '67 Ruger #1 at a shop. Still have older style LCP for pocket carry.
Minty 3 screw SBH at LGS.............tempting (last one I had sucked, proly why mint).

Lemme see what Rugers I've had over the yrs......

About 2 dozen, but only have 2 remaining.
A custom #1 and a .44 mag sporter my next two rigs.
If I get another .44 mag handgun, it'll be another Smith
Mine don’t ever go away!!! A few Ruger’s in my collection

Well it looks like i gotta grind a little on the Ruger offset ring to be able to use it as a rear offset. Turret body touches. Added friction paper to lower ring halfs and theres that much gap but when 20 in lbs is used, bo gap. So its Dremel time.

Actually, its Gunbroker time as this stuff really burns my arse. Ruger sickness it is....sick of their rings and trying to fit a less than 40 yr old scope to a #1.

Solution is to buy a stainless #1, custom bbl and EGW base. If......if.......IF I decide to be saddled w the hassle of a Number 1 again. 3rd time is not the charm.

Dug my ugly Steyr pro hunter from the safe. Pic rail. Vx3i sits perfect. Popped off and on.....simple and no worries.

Too old and cranky to have to fix stuff that should have been done right at the factory.

Yup, could go high rings. But med is the right height. The " bank " on the offset rings front needs shifted .010 and the shelf could use that lowering too. Dunno if not ground enough, dont have another to measure.

Doesnt matter. My patience has been exceeded. Good riddance

This on top of my 1022sp that shot like a. Imp.cyl......not a good month for me and old Rugers.

The ol lady texted me and first thing she says is " what are you going to get next? "

I did not reply. She thinks blued #1s the prettiest rifle made. Had a B in .243 when we dated......watched me smoke chucks w it.
