Removing rattle can paint from blued revolver?

If you are going to get it cerakoted by someone else let them blast it off. Most place that I know of use a blasting cabinet to prep the metal. It will take it off quite easy.
 
Used some nail polish remover and some 0000 steel wool. well soaked and very light (no pressure) rubbing has revealed good deep blueing. The nooks and crannies are gonna be tough - might go find a brass brush. 999 first attempt.jpg

Wow! I was expecting a rusty pitted ruined finish but by golly that looks great as far as I can tell. How are the grips? A brass or nylon brush and acetone (old nail polish remover) should do you right. More pics! more pics!
