Ok, on disc brakes theres the caliper, then theres a bracket that holds the pads. The caliper mounts to the bracket by being bolted to the these little floating things with boots on them that allow the caliper to move as the brakes wear. What's that floating thing called?

One of mine is shot andI don't know what to Google to try and find a replacement. I found an entire bracket at advanced auto, but it doesn't come with those thingys.

Thanks

Slide pin?

Caliper pin/ mounting pin is it. Thanks.

Same function as the slide pin, different style caliper.

Thank you wise sirs.

and if you dont lube them it usually leads them to needing to be replaced and your brakes squealing

And if one of them locks up this eventually happens. I was due for brakes and rotors anyway. ..... but that corner fried! I guess the back pad had been dragging for a while.
