Spent a bunch of money, haven't made a cartridge yet, just got my Lapua 308 brass and 10% have a flat spot on the case mouth. Was just looking at my new supply and started noticing flat spots, I know I can size them correctly, just didn't expect this many. Is this normal?

I bought a second hand Redding die set for 308 and a second hand Hornady for 6.5, both worked to resize the necks. Chamfered and cleaned 100 each, ready for priming and my first 127 mistakes in powdering up and seating a bullet.

Get's expensive doing stuff wrong, but story of my life. I will get there

Consider resizing each case 3 times each time just turn the case about 120 degrees, it helps to get the case mouth to center as close as possible back to sammi specks, and then trim the brass to recommended case length. Just a step in reloading to strongly consider also... It will help lengthen the case life and aid in group accuracy...
