I offered to do the refinishing of the wood for free, and he said he would be in touch. I haven't heard back from him. Maybe he's out of town or something.

Ok, Numrich Arms has the butt plate for just under $15. Not sure how bad the split in the forearm is, just give me a SITREP when you get it and I will get whatever you will need. Most of the trigger guards and mounting screws on those were rough I encountered.
