The players might not need the money for now. But the people paying them damn sure do. Most contracts have performance type clauses in them. No show no pay, injuries are different though. They have huge debts to pay that are growing while funds are disappearing before their eyes. There are banks that are in to much debt to default on the huge stadium loans. That money is owed to some body though and all they can do is wait for them to get people back into the seats to start collecting again. I'm for going to replacements, like the movie. People that want it bad out there playing like every day will be the last day on the field.

Ron Howard as Opie and Andy Griffith (and Henry WInkler as the Fonz) did a "retro" themed commercial for Obama. It ruined the show for me. I can't watch it anymore. What is interesting, is that commercial has now been scrubbed from the interwebs. Very interesting....

Think in other perspective. If there is no sport then there are no broadcast needed and thousands of people will lose their jobs, where will they work? Sport staff, Tv crew, Nike, Adidas, Hourly concession stand workers, reporters, and etc will all lose their jobs. Sport is watched throughout the country not just in the states. These over paid players you mentioned is getting that much because they are worth it. They wear brands to help other brands grow their business. If sport was not worth they wouldnt be showing sport on TV. there a reason TNT which is a not channel, teamed up with ESPN to show live sports. Theres a lot of profit going on. Even the USA Gov get benefit on the sport profit by taxing them. Think about the facts that will come in place. Its more then sports and the players. Theres family and friends that work hourly to keep their families up and running by working for the sports parking lot and ticketing and concession stands.

Then perhaps those most likely to suffer from a prolonged boycott and loss of team revenue should bring their concerns to the players association, team owners, networks and media.

Feel sorry for the little guy. But it's the same as BLM and ANTIFA burning and pillaging. Except it's being done by millionaires. Not my problem. Eff 'em.
