Does anyone care if these over paid ass hats ever play again or ever draw another massive paycheck? Occasionally I have time to watch, but it wouldn’t make a difference in my life if all of them stopped playing and had to get regular jobs.

This makes me rethink why do i watch professional sports? Remember this isn't the first time these wealthy cry babies whined about issues. Let them stay home and run out of $$$. Then we can reap the rewards off buying thier bling cheap.

Gods truth. I have not watched any kind of sports in better than 30 years. Why the heck do they have to get paid that much money to play a stupid game. People will skip church to idolize Sports and their figures. Just stupid.

As far as I am concerned, if they don't want to play, don't pay them.

If sports teams were to permanently go away, and all those people associated were out of a job, I guess it would be like other industries, factories shut down, businesses gone to other countries, etc. Seems they would have to find another line of work. I feel for those people, but not overpaid athletes.

Think in other perspective. If there is no sport then there are no broadcast needed and thousands of people will lose their jobs, where will they work? Sport staff, Tv crew, Nike, Adidas, Hourly concession stand workers, reporters, and etc will all lose their jobs. Sport is watched throughout the country not just in the states. These over paid players you mentioned is getting that much because they are worth it. They wear brands to help other brands grow their business. If sport was not worth they wouldnt be showing sport on TV. there a reason TNT which is a not channel, teamed up with ESPN to show live sports. Theres a lot of profit going on. Even the USA Gov get benefit on the sport profit by taxing them. Think about the facts that will come in place. Its more then sports and the players. Theres family and friends that work hourly to keep their families up and running by working for the sports parking lot and ticketing and concession stands.

Maybe the players should think about the ramifications of their actions. Maybe they should look into the stands (during non-Covid times) and recognize all the white faces in the crowd.

I don't plan on watching it. Hope it doesn't spread to college sports.

This is what I'm also concerned with. I feel that the college arena is going to get tangled up in some shape or manner with the social justice movement as a whole since these are the very same athletes that feed right into the pro leagues. Just imagine your favorite college football team taking a knee or raising a fist on the field before each game to show their "unity" with what's happening around the country. I hope I'm dead wrong but fear that this might be on the horizon.
