I’m gonna snag a normal kinetic II I think. Can’t decide between the pilot or the expedition
I like the expedition. But I want a DLC Pilot non lume bezel. But it’s kinda rare.

If you don’t mind the V2 (V3 dropped last month) go on FB Owners Group and BST page. You won’t pay the ridiculous eBay prices.

The downside of complex vintage swiss watches lol... an early heuer carrera that was daily worn and one might say "abused" for thirty five or so years and serviced at some time with non original parts, then later sat in a drawer for about ten years before I started wearing it so there's a lot of wear and tear, but still I was expecting ~800-1k

Funnier thing is on top of that they want 51.84 to put new lume on the hands, just include that in the 1450, and make it 1500 guys, who's getting a watch overhauled and not wanting the hands painted?

This specific watch/band combo is selling at auctions for around 8k so it's still worth it to do it and the watch has sentimental value to me, but figured I'd post this to show the problem if you buy automatic watches that don't retain/gain value (like most tag's these days) that you can easily run into a situation where the maintenance and servicing costs of owning them can cost you what the watch is worth.
Had a 23 year old Submariner serviced this spring, $1100, but came back like new. Wife accused me of buying a new one….. was about $250 higher than I thought was going to be.

Just listed an excellent condition Seamaster up if anybody is looking for a good deal on one.
