Ive got a couple 10oz scottsdale poured bars but not 5 oz unfortunately

I bought gold in gram increments 1-5-10 and 20gram bars. In the thoughts of trading with something of less value than a ounce bar.
I knew I spent more per gram when buying but calculating now, with higher gold prices, I spent a lot more.
Has anyone else paid the price at the beginning in hopes of it "panning" out.
At today's prices, I spent $700 over a ounce of gold for 36 total grams.
