Ended up trading around and got a 1983 C10 Scottsdale. The truck had a fresh 396 BBC that hadn’t been fired. Got the truck running, and in my typical fashion had to immediately start changing it up. I lowered the truck, flip kit, C notch, springs, 22” American racing wheels, etc. Put a 10” TCI torque converter, Yukon 3.73 gear set, Yukon dura grip, and full exhaust. I’m not sure what’s next but I’m thinking eventually putting AFR heads, Holley sniper, and a retro roller cam. It’s been a fun project so far, but why does every hobby have to be so expensive, my wife says I need to find some cheaper hobbies haha

It does. That’s my other toy, I’ve had it for nearly 10 years now. I’m the second owner, 81,000 original miles. Factory sunroof car also. Air cooled will always have a place in my heart!

Those are a pair of nice toys. Wife really wants a convertible beetle and I like the old box style or square body Chevys.
